Corel recently launched version 10 of its Painter program:

Now what makes this program of interest to photofinishers are three things:
1)Corel is now specifically addressing the needs of photographers and photofinishers with a number of feature;
2)Corel has also speeded up the processing of Painter – this has been targetted specifically;
3)Painter continues to be the best natural media emulation software available – its water color, impasto, and now natural bristles brushes set it apart – along with the very strong integration with Wacom tablets and pens.
Hopefully we will have a review sooner, rather than later on Painter X.
Update Feb 2012: That Painter review [version 12] will be upcoming now that Autodesk has in SketchBook a real natural brush competitor to Corel Painter.
